NWNJBA Spring Meeting.  The opening NWNJBA meeting for the 2011 Spring season will be hosted in Flemington at the extension center on Route 31 in Flemington (near the Hunterdon Medical Center).  The meeting will operate at the extension center from 11:00 to 12:45 and then all interested will caravan to the associations Mentoring hives located adjacent to the Deer Path Park facility on West Woodschurch Road.  From 1 to 2pm, a demonstration will be conducted at the clubs hive site.

NWNJBA members viewed the DVD "The Vanishing of the Bees" at the Hunterdon County Co-Op Extension Center. The movie covered the prevailing thoughts behind the cause of Colony Collapse Disorder in the US and abroad. A short discussion ensued after the screening about the impact of CCD in our local area and the practice of using pesticides in our area.
